A complainant, William Opondo, lodged a complaint at the Commission’s Nakuru Huduma Centre desk alleging delay by the Attorney General to settle a decretal sum of Kshs.390,975 plus interest awarded to him by a court.
He had filed a case in Nakuru Chief Magistrate’s court in 2010 and a favourable decree was issued by the court on 23rd August 2017 but the Attorney General had not honoured the same by July 2018 when the complaint was lodged.
The complainant had sued his former employer and the AG for malicious prosecution.
We inquired with the Attorney General’s office and the complainant was paid the decretal amount.
