The Commission, in pursuit of its mandate to create awareness and educate members of the public on administrative justice and access to information, took part in the second edition of the Devolution Sensitisation Week. During the three-day event which took place on 25th to 27th September, 2018, at Makadara Grounds in Mombasa County, the Commission reached about 1,000 people with six complaints being lodged.
The event was organised by the Council of Governors in collaboration with the Mombasa County Government, Office of the Ombudsman, National Aids Control Council (NACC), National Hospital Insurance Fund (NHIF), Baraka FM, the Kenya Blood Transfusion Services among other stakeholders.
The objective of the sensation week is to educate the public on devolution and show case some of its successes as well as sharing the best practices.
